Year 5

Our new topic for Autumn 2 is ‘Friend or Foe’ where children will be learning about World War II. They will be learning about what life was like during the war, the experience of evacuees and what life was like on the Home Front.

In PE, children will be continuing to learn how to play Tag Rugby and will be improving their netball skills.

In Science, children will be refining their investigative skills, with a focus on variables. In Week 2 and 3, children will be designing, making and testing their own catapults; in Week 5, children will be conducting an investigation to find out what material is best for insulating hot food.
