At Bannockburn we know that successful relationships between parents and educators can have a long lasting and beneficial effect on children’s learning and wellbeing. We value being partners with you in your child’s education as we know that all adults play a significant role in developing children’s eagerness to learn. We will keep you well informed about things that are happening in our school and your child’s progress. Here are some of the ways we share information with parents:

  • Monthly newsletter with articles written by the school’s ‘Roving Reporters’
  • Termly phase newsletter that includes information what children will be learning over the term
  • Text message service to parents from the school
  • School website including all the latest news
  • Termly parents evenings to discuss children’s progress and
  • ‘Meet the teacher’ sessions at the start of each new school year
  • Parent coffee mornings with senior leaders
  • Termly parent forums that focus on feedback from parents
  • Senior leaders visible in the playground at the start and end of the school day
  • Class teachers in the playground everyday

“Our son has made excellent social and academic progress throughout his time at Bannockburn primary school.  This has only been possible due to the good home school communication and the personal interest the staff took in my son.  We would like to extend our gratitude to all those who have provided him with support.”
