Attendance & Welfare Officer

Dear Parents/Carers,

My name is Mrs Brown and I have recently taken on the role as the school’s Attendance & Welfare Administrator.
I am responsible for monitoring the pupils’ attendance and also offering guidance on a variety of matters linked to the welfare of our families. We may have already met or spoken and you probably know me for looking after attendance at Bannockburn. I am still very much responsible for attendance, but wanted to take this opportunity to introduce the lesser known part of my role.

School is an important part of the local community and your child spends a lot of time here with us. It is therefore important for you as parents to have someone that you can contact if you need advice and or to offer support.
I am here to help you with any worries or concerns you may have about your child. It can be about school, home or anything that impacts on family life. Worries get much, much bigger if you keep them to yourself!

My role as the school’s Attendance & Welfare Administrator is to help; I offer support with things like absence and lateness, bereavement and loss, social and emotional wellbeing, parenting, behaviour, establishing good routines and help with outside agencies. These are just a few examples of some of the things I can help with, or maybe you just need someone to listen to you.

I look forward to being able to meet with you in person, when we are no longer under COVID restrictions and
I can invite you in for coffee mornings. My time is split between both the High Street and Manor Way sites, so that I can spend time with children across the whole school. I am in school from 8.30 am to 3.15 pm. You can find me on the school gate in the mornings at Manor Way on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at High Street on Mondays and Wednesdays.

You can also contact me by calling the school and asking for me or you can email me at:

Kind regards,
Mrs Brown
