Co-opted Governor Vacancy

The School is looking to recruit a Co-opted Governor to join the Governing Body.  The role of a Governor is important in the life and development of the school. You would support the Governing Body in shaping the policies that will be implemented by the Headteacher and staff for the benefit of the school community.  We very much appreciate the time given by our Governors and enjoy working in an environment of mutual respect.

Your minimum commitment would be to attend three full governing body meetings and three sub-committee meetings per year and to make at least three visits through the academic year to see the school in action when the current situation allows. You would be most welcome to visit the school at other times i.e. open mornings/afternoons as well as other events including fundraising and community events throughout the year.

While we would especially welcome applications from anyone who might have experience in procurement / purchasing, estate & property management, charity law & governance, we are always keen to draw on the interests and expertise of individual governors and would welcome applications from those who care about primary education and wish to play a positive role in supporting the school community.

There is no payment for the role of Governor, but there is an immense satisfaction to be gained by contributing to the education of the children at Bannockburn and being part of a thriving and highly respected  primary school.

Applications are therefore invited from anyone within the community who feels they could make a valuable contribution to Bannockburn Primary School.

The deadline for applications is Monday 7th June.

Please contact Mrs Pollard at  (Tel: 020 8854 2169) who will be happy to discuss the role further with you.
