WelcomeA warm welcome to our school. Bannockburn Primary School is a unique and diverse learning community that provides the best possible support in enabling pupils to achieve their best. The school is spread across two purpose-built sites both located within the Plumstead area. Pupils from Reception to Year 2 are based at the High Street site and Years 3 to 6 are a short distance away at the Manor Way site. In addition, we also have a purpose built nursery unit based at the Manor Way site.

We are a school with very high aspirations for pupils, their families and the community of Plumstead. Every single child at Bannockburn is given the opportunity to achieve their very best. We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality learning experiences; we make learning fun, practical, and engaging.

Pupils and staff are highly motivated and firmly believe in learning together, in partnership with families.

The life skills we teach our pupils here give them confidence and self-belief. Pupils leave us ready to play a significant part in the local and global communities.

Many children take part in an extensive menu of extra-curricular clubs and classes. These range from dance classes, chess, and Gymnastics to Art, Mandarin and Football.

We provide breakfast and after school clubs and offer additional support for any vulnerable groups of pupils.

Children often learn best out of doors. All our pupils experience an extensive range of trips and visits and benefit from a number of experts and professionals who come to the school for workshops and events. Children learn a range of musical instruments and every year our school choir perform in the Woolwich Music Festival, as well as at other celebration events.
