Nursery
This half term we are learning about ‘superheroes’.
In Personal Health and Social Development we will discuss what makes each of us special and how our individual qualities make us all different. We will learn how to be kind and use role-play to support with our understanding of how to be a good friend.
Through Communication and Language we willtalk about people who are important to us and how they help us. Talk about our family members and describing the qualities of each of them.
Through Physical Development we will continue to take part in music and dance sessions where we follow directions, play ‘freeze’ games and use egg shakers to shake in time to the music.
In Mathematics we will order superheroes by size and measure them with cubes. Count from 1-5 and begin to learn to recognise numbers.
Through Literacy we will continue to learn phase 2 sounds o, c, k, ck) and play games to help us remember them. We will mark make and use playdough to help strengthen the muscles in our hands.
In Creative Art and Design, make our own superheroes, selecting different materials for different accessories.
